Metabocel Promotes Appetite Suppression
Tuesday, January 26th, 2010When purchasing any weight loss product, it is important to do your research. Many people are exchanging their opinions about Metabocel on DietBlogTalk.com

Overview
Metabocel is another in a long line of dietary supplements promising a scatter-shot approach to weight loss. The product seems like it?s going to cover all the bases for the consumer. But whereas most product advertising would claim such a pill is all you need, at least Metabocel?s promotion owns up to the truth: supplementation is useless if the consumer isn?t eating well and exercising regularly.
But Metabocel?s honesty here does not make up for the unfortunate presentation of the product on the web. Consumers will be hard pressed to find any substantive information on the product. And what appears to be its own website is really an exercise in tedium.
Ingredients at a Glance
There seems to be some confusion over the actual ingredients in Metabocel. This is not a good sign, but as near as we can tell, Metabocel contains Brindleberry, Kelp, Capsicum Annuum, Chromium, Zinc, Pyridoxine Hydrochoride, Tyrosine, and Pectin.
Ingredients in Focus
The following popular ingredients are of note:
Brindleberry is a rich source of Hydroxycitrate. The extract contains Vitamin C and has been used historically to enhance flavor. Hydroxycitrate is also thought to inhibit the enzyme, ATP citrate lyase, which helps synthesize fatty acids. Though there are reportedly no ill effects, children, pregnant and lactating women, those diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, and Alzheimer?s/dementia victims should not take it.
Metabocel also contains Kelp, which is rich in iodine and may aid in maintaining thyroid function, which effects metabolism.
Chromium, along with Kelp, has become extremely popular in dietary supplements. It may help to stabilize blood sugar levels and help synthesize cholesterol, fats, and proteins. Some research has indicated a possible link between Chromium and adverse affects in individuals suffering from depression, bipolar disease, and schizophrenia.
